124: How to be Grateful in Tough Times

11/25/2016

Thanksgiving is all about being grateful, and at no time is this more important than in the face of the negativity, hate and division that the election result symbolizes. So far, we’ve kept to health topics, but today, Food Heals Nation, we’re going political. It’s a frightening time—the new president elect stands for racism, anti-feminism, anti-human-rights, war. Many of us no longer feel safe; we feel anxious and scared.

But we don’t have to feel this way. Suzy shares one method that works for her: the Sedona Method. Started by Lester Levenson in the 50’s, it works on the principle of letting go of negative beliefs, habits and patterns to free yourself from psychological discomfort and come back to the present moment—where we are most peaceful, and most powerful. Check out their website to learn more, or reach out to Suzy on our FB Group. We’ll dedicate an entire episode to this topic very soon!

We also introduce our fabulous new podcast producer, Foxy Roxy—a full time music producer and sound engineer, and “Trump supporters’ worst nightmare.”

What organizations and charities are you involved in? How can we be there for each other and the communities that are fighting for their voice? Let’s support one another. We want to hear your voice Food Heals Nation: share your thoughts on our FB group!

Wishing you all a happy, healthy, harmonious Thanksgiving.
